Help with Progress Monitoring in Speech Motor Chaining

Progress Monitoring Templates

Progress Monitoring Templates let you load in sessions for different types of unpracticed word lists, so setting up individual progress monitoring sessions to measure generalization for your clients will be a breeze.

For example, you might make Progress Monitoring Session templates like these:

  • 15-item /r/ syllable list
  • 25-item /s/ word list with monosyllable words
  • 25-item /s/ word list with monosyllable and multisyllable words
  • 50-item /r/ word list with competing sounds

By definition, all words are unpracticed words. There is no overlap with the Chains so you can be sure that Progress Monitoring Sessions measure progress toward generalization. A different set of unpracticed words will be pulled every time you make a Progress Monitoring Session from these word lists.

You can set up as many Progress Monitoring Session Templates as your like, or use our defaults.

Note that Progress Monitoring Templates is only available for /r/, /s/, and /z/.
